DARRIN LIM

is an associate with the firm’s political law section, where he specializes in national compliance issues.
Mr. Lim advises Fortune 500 companies on campaign, lobbying and ethics laws throughout the country. Specifically, he assists corporations with the development and administration of comprehensive compliance programs for corporate and federal PAC campaign contribution activity, state lobbying work, and state and local gift activity.
Mr. Lim also assists several national and international companies with the preparation and filing of federal lobbying reports, under the Lobbying Disclosure Act and advises on compliance with the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007.
Mr. Lim frequently speaks on governmental ethics at seminars and events. He has presented at the Council of Governmental Ethics Laws’ (COGEL) annual conference, the Heartland Ethics Conference, and the Practising Law Institute’s seminar on “Corporate Political Activities”.
He serves on the Editorial Board of “Public Integrity,” an academic journal of the American Society for Public Administration, which focuses on ethics and leadership. He serves as co-editor of the “COGEL Blue Book: Campaign Finance Update,” a 50-state annual compendium of campaign finance changes, which is provided to ethics agencies across the country.
Mr. Lim previously served as the Communications Director for a state legislator in both the California State Assembly and Senate. Before that he was in television news as the main anchor and reporter for a station in Southern California.
Mr. Lim received his BA in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of Southern California and graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
