ELLI ABDOLI
(Marin County office) is an associate with the firm's political law section. She advises multinational corporations on developing and implementing comprehensive national compliance systems and training programs to ensure compliance with the vast array of federal, state and local campaign finance, lobby and ethics laws.
Ms. Abdoli specializes in “pay-to-play” laws and assists a number of major government contractors, from technology companies to investment advisers, with complying with these complex laws and regulations. She has developed various compliance processes and policies for companies, including an innovative online “pay-to-play” compliance application.
Ms. Abdoli is also advises corporations, non-profits, trade associations, and other organizations on federal, state and local campaign finance and election law issues, including the initiative and referendum process. She is counsel and treasurer for a number of PACs and ballot measure committees.
Prior to joining Nielsen Merksamer, Ms. Abdoli interned for the Governor's Office of Legal Affairs under Governor Schwarzenegger.
Ms. Abdoli received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley and her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University. Ms. Abdoli is a member of the California State Bar.
