Speaking at the 2015 conference of the Council on Governmental Ethics Laws (“COGEL”), Jason Kaune and Darrin Lim will each lead sessions on federal, state and local campaign finance updates with Kaune focusing on litigation developments and Lim on legislative and regulatory actions.  During their presentations, the team will release the results of the “COGEL Blue Book: Campaign Finance Update.” Nielsen Merksamer edits this annual publication, which highlights the broad trends in campaign finance regulation with input from state and local regulators throughout the U.S.

Jennie Skelton will moderate a panel session that takes a closer look at the scope and practice of investigations and enforcement actions in the areas of campaign finance, government ethics and lobbying.

COGEL is the trade association of U.S., Canadian and international regulators in the areas of campaign finance, open government, governmental ethics, elections and lobbying.  The organization’s conference is the largest annual gathering of regulators in this area anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
